The capstone connects ESP32 energy monitors with a web dashboard. Devices publish readings over MQTT; the software delivers live updates and stores history for later inspection.
My contribution
- Set up the SQLite schema and database initialisation.
- Implemented device, team, assignment, and competition APIs.
- Persisted incoming readings and added a history endpoint, then connected the historical-data page to it.
- Added power-assignment and signal-strength data support, plus mock readings for integration work.
- Documented the backend data flow and API contracts for the wider team.
Team scope
I worked on the software side. Hardware, firmware, and other dashboard features were shared across the capstone team; the system described here is the combined result.
An important integration decision was to deliver live updates before storing history, so a storage failure would not interrupt the live stream.

This page is a description of my contribution. The team repository and a live deployment are not publicly shared here. No device identifiers, network configuration, or operational data are included.
