Starting a Personal Website

Why a small, owned website is a useful base for projects, writing, and making yourself easier to discover.

This site starts with a simple goal: create one public place that explains who I am, what I make, and what I am learning.

A personal website does not need to be loud to be useful. It can be a quiet home base for project notes, short essays, experiments, and the context that does not fit neatly into a resume or social profile.

What belongs here

  • Project writeups with the problem, decisions, tools, and outcome.
  • Notes about what I am learning.
  • Reflections on building, collaboration, and useful software.
  • Links that help people find my work without guessing where to look.

Why Markdown

Markdown keeps the writing workflow simple. Each post is a file in the repo, so the content is versioned, portable, and easy to review.
